Error 1321. The installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file

Hello,

I want to install VIPRE. But I received error 1321 while trying to install VIPRE. Please help me to solve this problem. The error message says,

” Error 1321. The installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file C:Program FilesSunbelt

SoftwareVIPRESBAMSvc.exe”

Error 1321. The installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file

Hello,

This error indicates insufficient privileges to delete the file indicated in the error dialog. To remove the file you need to manually delete the file from the specified folder.

Follow the below mentioned steps to find a solution:

1.      Navigate to folder location mentioned in the dialog to and try to remove the entire folder.

2.      If permission error message is displayed try to reset the permission with inherit,exe tool. Download your copy.

3.      To reset the permission using inherit.exe drag the file that requires the permission reset to the inherit UI, if you are greeted with a prompt with OK message than that means that the permission reset was successful.

4.      Now try to remove the file and run the installation again.

If the problem persist then try installing the application using the administrative privileges.
