While trying to install LITE-ON Blu-ray Disc (BD) edition on my computer, I get an error message. The Error code is 1326 and stating that I need to have the retail version of the software. I tried installing it again and again but failed. I am able to work using the trail version 10. How can I make it work?
Thank you.
Error 1326 on installing LITE-ON BD
Well, if you are able to use the trail version without experiencing any problem then I will suggest that you stick to it instead of installing the other version that is refusing to work. As the error message says, you will need to get a retail version of the LITE on Bluray Disc so that it can work on your computer. It seems like the way your system specifications have been set you cannot be able to use the other versions but only the retail version.
But you will also need to check that the version that you are trying to install right now was downloaded from a trusted site since the problem as to why it is not installing successfully may be because its legitimacy is questionable.

Error 1326 on installing LITE-ON BD
I also got a somewhat similar error on a LITE-ON DVD writer which I bought many years ago for my old Dell computer which runs on Windows XP. The drive came with a CD of Nero burning software which I tried to install to burn DVDs. But when I tried it after installing, I can’t even use it because it asked me to purchase the retail version.
I later realized that the software bundled with the package is only a demo and if you want to have the full version you have to purchase it. This is probably the same with your case. If the LITE-ON Blu-ray setup CD you are using is bundled with the drive when you bought it, it is also probably just a demo like mine.
If you want to burn Blu-ray discs in the future, install a different burning software like ImgBurn. Even if you managed to install that LITE-ON software, the program will be hardly usable because it is only a demo.
