What does Error 1604 means that prompts when restoring Apple devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and even on iTunes. I've been hearing this a lot and experienced the same on my iPhone. How can I fix this error 1604?

Error 1604 Message Prompting While Restoring iPhone iPad iPod Touch and iTunes

Errors 16xx are connected with Firewall issues, security software issues installed in your PC and Error 1604 is caused by USB timing issue. You can obtain the error when you alter the ports or use another computer to restore or update your Apple devices.

For other resolutions, try the following:

1. Connect your Apple device to iTunes. You need to be under the Recovery Mode.

2. Restore it and wait for the error to appear.

3. Click OK when asked.

4. Close iTunes and then reopen it again with the device still connected.

5. Your device will be recognized under the Recovery Mode again.

6. Restore your device again.

If this doesn't fix your problem, restore by a known-good USB cable, PC and connections.
