Error 1962 on Lenovo Windows 8 PC

I've got a Lenovo 3493-BFG running Windows 8. The problem is, I can start my PC just fine but a random error keeps appearing every time I restarted. It says, "Error 1962: No operating system found. Press any key to repeat boot sequence". I pressed F12 on BIOS POST and choose my default drive then my system properly boots.

My question is, what is the cause of the error? I never installed any new software or programs yet. I can still boot with Windows but why is it showing, there is no OS found? Please help!

Based on the Lenovo official site, an error 1962 that causes no operating system installed issue, should need to install OS on the boot drive. Try a fresh install using your installation disk. However, if this doesn't work, you may also read on some workarounds below.

1. Some UEFI firmwares has some glitches and Lenovo doesn't make exception. Resetting the BIOS or UEFI will show correct values. But they are not. You will need to configure the Compatibility Support Module or the CSM and set it to Enabled Just like you are booting to a legacy Operating System. Since this setting will be disabled when you reset your BIOS or done some upgrade.

2. Also, please check on the cables and connections for your Hard Disk Drive if it's properly connected. There is a report that Error 1962 is due to a incorrect cable connections From the HDD to the motherboard. But be very careful because some of the Lenovo cables are attached permanently, so if you are unsure of what to do, you may consider bringing your PC to the Lenovo Service Center or to the store where you purchased it.

3. Check on the Master Boot Record if its not corrupted or no longer active.
