I received a “There was an error connecting to stream. Please try again. (Error:26)” when trying to connect to Sky using my Samsung Galaxy SII. What should I do?

The problem you are facing is that you are trying to make the connection with Skype on your mobile but it is not accessing so try the solution:

1. Make it confirm that you are connected to the internet and then make it confirm that you are not using any proxy setting if you are using any proxy setting then make it sure that proxy setting allows you to connect with the Skype server. This is the problem due to the proxy setting of the mobile so make them default or ask your service provider how to remove proxy settings or what are the proxy setting which will allow all the internet facilities. Hope this solution will help you to connect your mobile to the Skype.

That is obviously a network problem, not a problem on the phone. Basically, since it is a connection problem and you are using a mobile phone, it would be best to check your signal reception. Since you are relying on the strength of the signal for your internet connection, it would be better to transfer to another location where you can receive good signal.

Even if you are connecting to the internet via Wi-Fi for your mobile video streaming, you are still relying on the signal strength. There are different ways to connect your Smartphone to the internet; either via Wi-Fi or using your data connection. Still, both rely on the signal strength for the speed and stableness of the connection. If you are using data connection to connect to the internet on your phone, the quality of your connection will depend on the strength of the signal on your phone.

If you are using Wi-Fi to connect to the internet on your handset, the quality of the connection will depend on the strength of the signal of the Wi-Fi hotspot where you are connecting to. If you are connecting via Wi-Fi when using Skype on your phone and you really can’t get a good streaming on your connection, try shifting to data connection if you have a good signal on your phone.
