Error – 29501 Citrix Presentation Server uninstallation

Hello,

 

Yesterday I attempted to uninstall Citrix Presentation Server but I was failing because of the following error message which you can set the below attached image. How can fix this error? If somebody has an idea please share.

Error 29501. Setup has determined that Application Isolation

Environment exist on the server. Remove all of these before continuing with uninstallation.

Error – 29501 Citrix Presentation Server uninstallation

 

Hi there Jay Skarbos,

 

This is a known issue happening when you are trying to uninstall the MetaFrame Presentation Server from a server in the farm. When the server is in the farm its address is contained in an isolation so you get the error. 

 

The easiest way to successfully uninstall the MetaFrame Presentation Server without doing damage to other servers in the farm is to force the installation via command prompt. Click start – run, type cmd and press enter. Once the console is open, type the following line:

 

msiexec /x mps.msi /L*v c:output.log CTX_MF_FORCE_SUBSYSTEM_UNINSTALL=Yes

 

It will force the removal of the MetaFrame Presentation Server regarding the error.
