Please download the BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK) software from www.bbsak.org. When you attach the device to your computer and launch BBSAK, it will ask you to enter a password. In case you haven’t got your device password protected, just click on OK and proceed.
Now, select the option which says Wipe device. It will leave you with a white screen and pop an application error 507. Now, detach the device from your computer.
Go to C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch in MotionAppLoader on your computer and delete the file named vendor.xml from your computer.
Now, attach the device again to your computer. In the same location mentioned above, double click on the executable file named Loader to start loading your Operating System.
Hi,
You have two ways to reset BB Torch. First check if you can resetting it in either way without error.
1. 1st will see the soft reset.
Please click ‘ Alter + CAP(Right Shift) + Delete’ keys together. Your screen will be blank. If your screen came back, just press the Alter + CAP + Delete.
2. Let’s see, how to do the hard reset.
Remove the battery >> stay around 10 seconds >> insert the battery >> restart the Phone.
Hope this solves your problem.
Hi,
There can be several reasons for this error. Please follow below steps in order to reload the software.
1. To wipe out the OS from the device you need to use the BBSAK app. To download, you need to go to the below site.
www.bbsak.org
2. You can download the latest OS for the device from below link.
https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=9461CCE28EBE3E76FB4B931C35A169B0
3. Now connect the device to the PC. Then run BBSAK. If you have a password for you device give it or
otherwise click ok.
4. When wiping the device completed you will get error 507 with blank white screen.
5. Then disconnect the device.
6. On the PC delete file called “vendor.xml” in the below path.
C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch in MotionAppLoader
7. Again connect the device and execute program called Loader in that same folder to load the OS.
If the issue sorted out with these steps you can stop here. If still you are getting the same error there is a possibility of having a corrupted in updates. Therefore try downloading it again or from some other source.
“Error 603” in BlackBerry Smartphone is related to the JVM or the Java Virtual Machine and it affects BlackBerry Smartphones running on BlackBerry OS 7.1 and older. When your BlackBerry phone encounters the error, it displays one of the following error messages:
All three messages are referring to the Java Virtual Machine. To fix the problem, make sure your phone is running on the latest BlackBerry OS. To check, connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable then launch the BlackBerry Desktop software on your computer. In the BlackBerry Desktop software, select “Update my device”.
If an update is available, you should see something like “An updated version of BlackBerry Device Software is available. Do you want to install the update?” If you see this, click “Get update” to download and install the update. Once your phone has been updated or it is already running on the latest BlackBerry OS, you need to hard reset your phone.
Turn off your phone then remove the battery. Wait a few seconds then reinsert the battery and then start the phone. On the other hand, if your phone is running on BlackBerry 10 OS, you cannot perform a hard reset because it doesn’t have a removable battery. In this case, perform a soft reset. Go to Reset a BlackBerry Smartphone for the guide.
If the problem continues, you need to reload the BlackBerry device software or basically reinstall the BlackBerry OS. Go to How to Force Detection BlackBerry Smartphone for more information.
