If you are still unable to access a license, contact your system administrator.

To resolve that issue, you will need to find and the install a new license file that can work with the new version of Autodesk Algor Simulation software.

Note that every major version of Autodesk software has got a  unique serial number, and each serial number has got its own license file.  If you using the previous version license file, you will not be able to use the Simulation function of Autodesk Algor. The following steps should help you get  a new license file.

  • First, you will need to obtain the server computer name as well as the Ethernet address from LMTOOLS.exe
  • And then you will go to https://register.autodesk.com/ and then generate a license file.
  • After that you will need to replace the existing license file on the license server, and then restart the license service.

Regards,

Carl

The full error reads “A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager. Error [-15.570.0]”. This error appears when you start your Autodesk product. You may receive this error when you have an invalid license in the License Server or the port assigned or used by Autodesk Network License Manager is blocked.

You can also get it when your computer is configured with the wrong license server information and also when the license request is timing out on your computer before the license is acquired. To fix this, first, check that your computer is configured with the correct license server name or IP. To do this, click “Start” then in the search box type without quotes “regedit”.

Click “regedit.exe” on the result. In the “Registry Editor” window, navigate to this location:

  • [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager]

On the right pane, look for “ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE”, right-click it, and select “Delete”. After this, close the “Registry Editor” window then click “Start”, “Control Panel”, and then set the view to “Small icons” on the upper right corner of the screen. Next, click “System” then select “Advanced system settings” on the left pane. In “System Properties” dialog, in “Advanced” tab, click “Environment Variables” at the bottom.

In “Environment Variables” dialog, under “System variables” section, click “New”. In “New System Variable” dialog, enter without quotes “ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE” for the variable name and “2080@YOUR_SERVER_NAME _OR _IP” for the variable value. Click “OK” all throughout. See if this works.

If the license is timing out, add the following in the system variables:

  • Variable name: FLEXLM_TIMEOUT
  • Variable value: 5 000 000

If the problem continues, go to How to set up the Autodesk Network License Manager on Windows or visit Error [-15.570] for any additional help.
