Error code 0x80070001 while activating MS Office 2010

Hi there,

I have a Windows 7 (Professional) operating system with MS office Professional Plus 2010. When I make an attempt to activate the product, I receive the following error "An unspecified error has occurred. Your request cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later".The error code displayed is 0x80070001.

 

 

I hope the geeks of this forum can help me get past the issue. Looking for your kind assistance.

Error code 0x80070001 while activating MS Office 2010

Hello Himan,

The error you are getting could be as a result of the following issues:

• There could be a problem with your internet connection.
• The MS 2010 may not be compatible with the operating system that you are using right now on your computer.
• The antivirus as well firewall applications that you have on your computer could be blocking the application especially if they are 3rd party.

To resolve the issue, you will need to do the following:

• Check your internet connection status and ensure that it is working correctly. If you are on a LAN, check the cables and make sure they are plugged correctly. If you are using wireless, make sure that you are have a strong signal.
• Check the system specs of your computer and make sure that the MS 2010 you are trying to install is compatible.
• If you have 3rd party anti viruses as well as firewalls on your computer, disable them before you start the installation and then re-enable them later.
