Hello All,

I am using Sandboxie and while trying to play the game Digimon Masters Online which requires hackshield to play it gives a hackshield initialization failed error and terminates. It says an error occurred in the hack prevention feature. The error code is 108. I am using a pc with Windows XP service pack 3. I was using McAfee VirusScan in my pc. I uninstalled it and tried launching Sandboxie. But this did not fix it. Can anybody help me please? Thank you for the replies.

The program will be terminated.

Error 108 means that Hackshield did not start up at all. The reason for this is that Sandboxie and Hackshield are not compatible, which means that you cannot run them together at the same time, unless you use a 64-bit version of Windows operating system. It is not advisable to try and circumvent Hackshield's normal operation, as it can have negative effect on your game experience.

If you use Sandboxie when playing your game, try updating Sandboxie first to check if the problem is with Sandboxie. Go to the Sandboxie Home page and download the latest version, Sandboxie 5.31.6. There are separate downloads for 32-bit and 64-bit versions so download the correct version for your computer. If this doesn’t work, download the latest game client and update.

Go to the Digimon Masters home page and download the latest game client. Once downloaded, run the installer or the setup file and install over your existing installation. If the problem is with corrupt files, this will restore the original files. The latest client for Digimon Masters supports 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.

It requires 2.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX5200 or better video card, 8 GB free space, and Microsoft DirectX 9.0c. If the problem continues, don’t use Sandboxie with Digimon Masters. If Sandboxie is running, exit the program then run and play Digimon Masters.
