Hi.
I bought Windows 7 CD and trying to upgrade from Vista x64-bit Ultimate Edition but after 15 % installation, it gives an error code 80070570.
I don't know what this error is about but every time I try to upgrade, I face the similar problem. Its frustrating me. Can someone give me direction as to what the possible problem could be.

Error code 80070570 when trying to install Windows 7
Hi Norman,
Lets try the following steps:
-
Copy the windows 7 DVD contents to the hard drive. If able to copy successfully it means that windows 7 files are good and able to read and no file corruption. If unable to copy DVD media is corrupt.
-
Run the upgrade setup from inside the Windows Vista by clicking on the file Setup.exe.
-
Another option is you can boot from the Windows 7 DVD and start the upgrade.
Possible cause of file unable to process the file to due read problem.
Hope this works out for you.
Regards,
Vistashen
