Hi brothers,
I am having some problem with the WMA files.
Those files are not able to play in the new Media Player.
I want to download the license for the same.
But when I am trying to download the license an error comes up with the code 438.
Please help me to solve the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Error comes up with the code 438
Error 438 is a common error that occurs in Windows Media Player especially after an upgrade.
It usually occurs when opening the application – when Windows Media Player is opened for the first time on a new computer or hard drive, it tries to download the license for the program, when the download doesn't go smoothly, that is when the error comes up.
To make sure that the license gets downloaded, you'll need to change your internet settings – in particular, you need to activate ActiveX controls. To do this open Internet Explorer and follow the following steps:
-
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options
-
Select the Security tab
-
Make sure that the Internet content zone is selected and that the security level for that zone is set at medium
-
Click Custom Level
-
Set Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins to Enable
-
Set Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting to Enable
-
Click OK
-
Close all instances of Internet Explorer and re-open it
This should make the download successful and thus prevent the error message from coming up in Media Player.
