Hello there,

There is something wrong with my Adobe Fireworks CS3. The cursor turns into a hand and then you can no longer choose any other tool from the main toolbar. This problem is quite annoying and I have found no solution yet. I've tried restarting the application but that didn't solve the problem.

Here is a screenshot.

Please help me. Thanks a lot!

Hi Zoegordon

A simple solution for this error is to select the tool and press the spacebar key. If it did not work Just simply maximize and minimize the window or you can press ALT and Shift key then click on some tools then maximize and minimize your cs3 again.

Another way is to select the Text tool the (“T” short key ) then create a text box.

Another way if you are a VISTA user is to minimize your Cs3 and go to another application (NOTE minimize first then Run a different application ). These solutions are all valid all come from users and experts in Cs3. According to It experts they are already making permanent solution for this bug/error.

Good luck and if you have any more questions contact me.

If all of the measures mentioned above did not work for you, you may also try uninstalling then reinstalling Adobe Fireworks CS3. This will remove all the new settings that you might have customized and will reset your application back to the default setting. If reinstalling the application still did not solve the problem with your cursor, since you are using the older version, why not try upgrading to Adobe Fireworks CS5. You can download the free trial version at this link.

You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like PC Tools Performance Toolkit, Norton SystemWorks, or Norton Utilities.
