Hello,
I am using Acronis True Image 2010 to back up my computer files but lately, then back up often stops signaling.
I always get this "Error code 0x0004000A."
Does anybody know what this means?
Thanks in advance.
Error during Back up with Acronis True Image 2010
The "Error code 0x0004000A" normally happens when the current backup process is being interrupted. But aside from that just to make sure that updates are installed in your Acronis True Image 2010.
Try to consider these things:
1. Make sure the backup drive tightly connected to make sure data is not interrupted during the backup process.
2. If the error still popping up. Try to close your Acronis True Image 2010 make sure that it is not running.
Check:
A. CTRL + ALT + DELÂ
B. Go to processes tab
C. Find and kill process Acronis.exe
3. Start your Acronis True Image 2010 proceed to help menu and check for updates. If updates available download and install updates.
Error during Back up with Acronis True Image 2010
Most likely our software has an issue with accessing the files that are being backup, it could be either a permissions issue or the amount of files being backed up is rather large.
As a workaround I would recommend creating a partition backup instead, or, decrease the number of files that you need to backup – you can create 2 backup tasks for example and disable compression in the backup settings. If you need additional help please let me know.
Thank you.
