I encountered a problem with windows installer package while installing software.
It is a window installer error and shows “The program run as part of the setup but did not finish as expected.
Contact support personnel or package vendor”.
Kindly help me to solve this problem.

There might be a problem with the windows installation package.
The setup file might have had a problem while downloading or burning to disk.
You should download the fresh copy of the windows installation package in order to continue with the installation process.
Contact your windows service provider for further support.

Hi,
The software you are trying to install may itself contain corrupted data. So every time you are trying to install, it stops the process. You should check that issue. If that is not the case, your windows installer may be damaged.
You can download the new Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483.
It should solve your problem.

Error during upgrade software install
Hi,
There can be two reasons for this issue.

Something wrong with the software, which you are trying to install.
-
Problem with your windows installation package.
Hence first check whether your software is working properly. For this remove your corrupted installations if any & you should try to install the software newly, which is obtained from a different source. (i.e newly downloaded, new CD).
If still you can install it, then the problem is with your windows installation package. So reregister your windows installer & see whether it works.
For this first you need to unregister your windows installer. For this, press (Windows+R) & type "msiexec /unreg" in the opened window box & click on the “ok” button.
Then you can reregister it again. For this, press (Windows+R) keys & type "msiexec /regserver" in the opened window box & click on the “ok” button.
