An Error has occurred in AVG Anti-Virus

My PC has an error message on the Virus:

AVG Anti-Virus

Testcannot be started because it already does not exist.

Why did this happen? Does go l to be a problem for my PC?

An Error has occurred in AVG Anti-Virus

 

I believe the version of AVG you are using is an alpha or beta release. These releases often have bugs, and are released to the public for purposes of testing. I have been using a stable version of AVG since 2011 and I've never encountered the error described. 

To remedy the problem download the latest version of AVG Antivirus from here: https://www.avg.com/en-ww/free-antivirus-download Then uninstall the version you have on your system, then install the version you downloaded.

An Error has occurred in AVG Anti-Virus

Hello Peter,

This message appears due to up gradation of any software in your system. The upgrade done manually or automatically cause the AVG antivirus to show the following message. This is not an error, this message usually appears after scanning results and statistics. Just click ok button. To stop receiving the message, uninstall the software for which you have updated recently and then reinstall it. This will fix your problem.
