An error has occurred on downloading and adding Axure RP in Chrome

I am new to Axure and I am attempting to download Axure RP extension in Chrome. After clicking on the download, I can see that the process started but upon checking on the Download folder, it was not there. It's not even in the tools_extensions instead I am getting an error message stating the following:

An error has occurred

This item is already being downloaded and added into Chrome.

Reload     Close

An error has occurred on downloading and adding Axure RP in Chrome

I’m not sure if this Google Chrome extension is worth installing since it’s already hard to install and lots of users are complaining that they can’t install the extension on their web browser. Check again your Google Chrome browser if Axure RP Extension is really not installed. Go to Tools then Extensions and then check. If the extension is not there it’s fine.

Just install it again from Axure RP Extension for Chrome. Make sure to install it and not download it. Once installed, go to Tools, Extensions, and then Axure RP Extension for Chrome. Check the setting “Allow access to file URLs”. Even if this is the right procedure on how to make it work, there are still lots of issues.

Some of the users are saying that the option “Allow access to file URLs” is not there when going to the configuration of the browser.
