An error has occurred with my VLC media player

Hi Experts,

An error has occurred with my VLC media player. The error message suggests checking the log for details. Have a look at the message given below. I have no idea about the log. Please help me get an remedy of the issue.

Hello,

May be the file you are trying to open is not supported by VLC media player.

Try to open some other file which is supported by VLC media player and if the problem still persists then uninstall the VLC media player and install the latest version of the software.

An error has occurred with my VLC media player

VLC player supports many number of video formats and audio formats. What you are trying to open is not in video or audio formats. Try to open another file in your PC that is in video or an audio format. If it doesn’t work then there is a problem with your VLC player better download it again and reinstall. Otherwise as I mentioned above you are trying to open an invalid format which does not supported by the VLC player.

Great answer, my friends, and thanks for sharing your knowledge with me. Toni Linscomb, your suggestion made me realize why this problem is going on and on. It also helped me realize how I will be able to get rid of this problem. Based on your suggestion, I have downloaded the VLC player again and I am not experiencing any error now. I am happy with my VLC media player. Thanks, friend.
