Whenever I visit and log on to YouTube, an error HP400 is not responding is appearing. It is understandable that the browser will send a request to the server but what is causing this error? Help please.

Hi there,

You should always try the good old clearing the cache and cookie move.

But if it didn't fix that up you should atleast try any or all of this:

  •

Try to open the localhost folder located in: /C/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/hosts (open it using a notepad program). and search and delete this IP 208.65.153.238.

  •

Disable any Internet security installed in your system eg. Norton or mcAfee.

     Trying switching between 360p, 480p or 720p.

Wait for quite as if the link has been down or not available for a while.

The message “HP 400 is not responding” does not refer to your computer but to your HP printer. You are probably trying to print a page when you’re on YouTube. In this case, make sure your printer is turned on before clicking the “Print” button on the page then try printing that page again.

Try doing a test print first using a text editor like Microsoft Notepad or try printing a sample document using Microsoft Office Word and see if it works. When you visit a website like YouTube or any other website, you don’t receive an error related to your printer if you don’t click the “Print” button on the page.

The web page doesn’t access the printer by itself automatically or by default. The user has to click the “Print” icon or button first before the page can be printed. If this problem is happening with one browser only, try to uninstall and reinstall that browser or install the latest version.
