Error installing After Effects on Windows 7 ultimate

Hello experts,

I went to the Adobe website and downloaded Adobe After Effects. Then on running the set up I could not finish the installation as an error occurred. The error is shown below.

I am running Windows 7 ultimate.

Error – After Effects Alert

Error installing After Effects on Windows 7 ultimate

Resolution 1:

• Try deleting the entire After Effects preferences folder.
• After that restart it. The error could be as a result of a write to that folder, and as a result that may have left the crucial files in a bad state.
• If you delete the folder, After Effects will rebuild them to the default state when you restart.

Resolution 2:

Renaming the "Adobe After Effects Prefs.txt" file can also resolve the problem. After renaming, create a new file.
