I have downloaded and tried to installed new version of Mozilla Firefox such as 7.0 but I keep getting popup windows stating that I do not have permission to use the features of the program. The alert box is asking for a username and a password but I did not set any value for this. I am running currently Windows Vista. How can I install Firefox newest version without getting any errors?

Error on installing Firefox 7.0
Hi,
Normally windows vista is little complex and more secure than any other operation system.
Run your computer in administrator mode
Uninstall you old copy of Mozilla Firefox
Download fresh copy of Mozilla fire fox. Mozilla Firefox 8.0 is latest version. Close all programs. Try to install this fresh to your computer. . Install that extension that you want. Theme installation is optional. Install plug in.
After installation run Mozilla Firefox. This would be run fine.
Error on installing Firefox 7.0
hello Victoria,
To install firefox in your computer, you must first check your system to ensure that the installation package is compatible with your machine. There are two user account types in a computer: Administrator account and the guest or Standard user account. The administrator account has all the rights and privileges of installing programs into the computer but in standard account, you must provide administrator username and password in order to install a program.
To solve your problem, when installing the firefox program into your computer, make sure you are using the administrator account. In the administrator account, you can now run your firefox program installation package without any problem. Obtain the latest version of firefox and follow the steps in the installation wizard and make sure your installation package is for windows.
Thank you.
