Error message, power surge on USB hub?

Hey Caroline!

There are many possible reasons for this error.

And sometimes all your USB devices works normally even if this error popups on your window screen.

Basically in some computers all USB devices can consume maximum 500 milliamps/connection.

This error occurs when you try to exceed 500 milliamps for the USB port.

You just have to ignore this message because it has no effect on the functionality of your USB devices.

For this purpose, follow these steps:

1. Right click on My computer and select Properties.

2. A new window will be open.

3. Click on Hardware Tab and select Device manager.

4. Here you can see "Universal serial Bus Controllers"

5. Expand it by clicking on (+) sign,

6. Right click on any of the expanded options and select properties.

7. In properties windows press the Advance Tab.

8. Now Check the box here "Don't tell me about USB errors"

9. Click on Ok button and restart your computer.

Now you will not see this error message again.

Thanks
