Error message shown while selecting the Install of firmware 25.007

Hi all,

Today, Nokia Suite notified that firmware 25.007 was accessible for my Nokia N8.

Whenever I select the Install, I find the following error message.

Error : Software update

Service is unavailable.

I need to solve this. Please help.

Hi Suttie, I have read your concern about receiving the error “service unavailable” whenever you try to install Nokia Suite. I have read a lot of issues like this before and the only way to solve it is to wait for the Nokia server connection to be updated. There are no problems regarding your phone or the software you are installing, it is just the bad connection to the Nokia server. You may check back from time to time to see if you can already access the server.

Hello Suttie,

That is probably a temporary error that is related to the location of the place you are at right now. The place may be having network problems and that is why you are getting the error. You will therefore need to do the following:

  • If you need to use the phone urgently, try moving some few miles from where you are right now to a place that does not have network problems.
  • You can as well try restarting the gadget and see if that will get rid of the problem. If you shut it down do start it for until five or more minutes have passed.
