Error message when I execute resultant Wireshark

Hi,

I have just downloaded and built (successfully) 1.4.2. I got an error message when I execute resultant Wireshark. Can you provide a solution to resolve this issue? Assistance on how to fix this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.

Error message when I execute resultant Wireshark

Hi there Richard A Tittle,

 

You are facing a known bug that happens from time to time. It is still not solved, so you will need to wait until the new version is released. Keep an eye on the updates and update your software as soon as the update shows up as it will fix your problem.

 

Meanwhile, there is a workaround for the problem so you can continue using the software.

 

You will need to create the project in VisualBasic – do File ! Open ! Project/Solution pointing to the .exe file in the Wireshark directory. This will avoid setting additional search paths and everything should work.
