Hello,

I got this error message when I was trying to rip a DVD using DVDFab even I am using the latest version of this software. What could be the reason of this error? Should I wait for another latest version of DVDFab HD Decrypter? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

DVDFab To open the DVD disc, you need buy or renew DVDFab “DVDtoDVD”, or you can wait for new version of DVDFab HD Decrypter.

Hi,

I believe there is an issue with your license bundle. Try to roll back the software to the version when you paid your license. You might be unaware of the upgrade costs and settings. If you are using a trial version, it might have already been expired so there's no other option but to renew your license.

There are free tools on the internet like Handbrake and AnyDVD to rip DVDs. I suggest you use these tools meanwhile as you’re fixing your issue with DVDFab.

That error is related to the program’s license. If you are using the trial version, it means the trial period has expired and you need to buy it to be able to use it again. If you need to rip a DVD, you can use HandBrake. Commercial video DVDs are normally copyrighted or DRM-protected. This protects the contents from getting duplicated.

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management and is the copyright protection implemented on digital media. Videos from unprotected DVD video discs can be ripped and converted into different video formats but is not possible on protected DVDs. There are many commercial DVD applications that can rip DVDs but I’m not sure if there are ones that can rip videos from DRM-protected DVDs.

Most of them can only rip videos from unprotected DVDs. But there is a way you can remove the DRM protection using HandBrake. It is a video conversion tool that can convert videos from almost any format to a selection of modern and widely supported codec. It supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Download and install HandBrake. Once installed, you need to install “libdvdcss” to allow HandBrake to rip videos from protected DVDs. For 32-bit Microsoft Windows, download libdvdcss for 32-bit. For 64-bit Microsoft Windows, download libdvdcss for 64-bit. After downloading the file, copy it to the installation folder of HandBrake located in “C:\Program Files\Handbrake”. And that’s it. You can now rip your DRM-protected DVDs with HandBrake.
