Hello,
I get the following error message when I try to launch the remote control with TightVNC. How can I fix it while I can’t take the control of the remote host? How can I fix this error? Any assistance would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Error message when try to launch the remote control with TightVNC
Hello WillieMEarls,
There could be several reasons for this error and some of the solutions might as well require looking into remote machine settings. These points should help –
-
First thing to be checked is whether VNC remote and the local one are at the same version. This is important, in case if you notice version mismatch then you may have to change either one of them, possibly your local one.
-
Ensure remote VNC host is actually running on the port, it could be possible that another application is using the port, in that case you may have to change the port of either of the application.
-
Ensure none of the firewalls (Windows or independent ones) are not blocking connections between remote and local. If required you may have to configure exceptions on the appropriate firewalls.
Please the above points and hopefully they will help you solve the issue.
In case you have more questions, please feel free to ask.
