Error message while installing Rapport

Hi Robert,

At first make sure that your computer has all the necessary specifications required by the application. Then try to reinstall after rebooting your computer. If this persists, and you downloaded the software there might be a problem with the installation or some files may be corrupted. You should download again from a trusted source and install this.

It seems there is a pending system restart from a program you probably installed or uninstalled previously. You normally get that message when you install or uninstall a program that requires your computer to be restarted and then you installed a new program without restarting the computer first. To fix the problem, simply restart your computer and try installing the program again.

See if it works. If this doesn’t work, try installing the program in Safe Mode. Press Windows key + R then in the Run dialog, type without quotes “msconfig” then hit Enter. In the System Configuration Utility window, go to “BOOT.INI” tab then check “/SAFEBOOT” and then click “OK.” Restart the computer.

In Safe Mode, install the program again and see if it works. If this doesn’t work, repeat the same steps and uncheck “/SAFEBOOT” then click “OK.” Restart your computer in normal mode. After this, download the latest Trusteer Rapport and try installing it. If this still doesn’t work, try using the “Run as” command.

Right-click the installer or setup file then select “Run as administrator” then see if it works. Also, make sure your computer meets the requirements. The latest Trusteer Rapport supports Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.x, Windows 10, and Windows Server. The following web browsers are supported:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 10
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 – you need to be using Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
  • Google Chrome 61, 62, and 63
  • Mozilla Firefox 55, 56, and 57
  • Firefox ESR (32bit) 45 and 52
  • Microsoft Edge with EdgeHTML 12, 13, and 14
