Hi everybody.
I have made a deletion on my partitions on my Ubuntu/Windows XP computer.
I then attempted to boot from my XP disk. I found these when turned on my PC; "Press any key to boot from the disk"."scanning configured disks" then the monitor turns blank and still blank.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Error messages after deleting some data on partitions
This is a different problem regarding Windows XP and it is not a problem with missing NTLDR. This is the usual problem with Windows XP during startup, it sometimes encounter the problem with the missing NTLDR file. But when Windows XP encounters this missing file error, it always displays the message “NTLDR is missing” or something like that. While here, it just left your screen blank.
Try checking your optical drive if you left a disc inserted in it. Usually, optical drives are set to boot first in the BIOS. Remove it if you found a disc loaded in your optical drive. Try checking also if you have any flash drive or external hard drive left connected in one of the USB ports of your CPU. Disconnect it and then restart your computer.
Error messages after deleting some data on partitions
Hi there
it seems you have a boot cd inside your cd or DVD tray , first remove it ,
now restart if you still have errors ,
while restarting you can see in the bottom right to get into the boot selections or boot options now press the corresponding key while restarting your pc and now select the hard disk of yours which you have your windows XP installed now see if it boots normally .
if it didn't means your boot manager is corrupt or is missing , insert your windows XP disk now press the corresponding key for boot options while booting and select cd or DVD and then boot from CD to reinstall you XP
don't install new one just follow steps to repair it so that you wont loose any files.
hope that solves your issue .
