Error with Norton Ghost – Info 6C8F1C25 Cannot add protection

Hi,

I was using the latest version of Norton Ghost to back up my PC files.  I encountered this error while defining my back-up options, see below.  I clicked the Show details button and it showed further error details which said something about not being able to retrieve list of drives.  So, I checked my files, folders and drives and nothing seems to be wrong.  I also tried searching the web for answers but I couldn’t find one.  Any advice from the experts of this forum? 

Define backup Wizard.

Cannot add protection.

Hi Partoy,

If you are using the old Operating Systems try to update it or just reinstall. Info 66C8F1C25 are path problems or partition problems especially using OEMs, you can create another partition where you put your Norton Ghost program. You can also run  PartInfo.exe or partinfo.txt to fix this. Next time if you having problem with virus scanner i recommend you will use deepfreeze this is a free which you can easily download to the internet, easily to maintain and it's guaranteed safe from any virus so that you don't worry about this error. All you have to do is to save your important files is either USB or Flash drives, your Operating Systems should be no unnecessary program installed to make this effective.

Hi,

 

You just simply scan the application if there an corrupted file and then try check  your PC if it’s suitable to your system and then try upgrade the application if it’s possible and then try to download other application or new release version for your PC then try to uninstall the software and then just reinstall it again to your unit and then simply try to restart you PC after you install the application to your machine and the just simply try to download the error repair tool and then install that to your PC then after just start scan the system then try to repair the founds error to your machine.
