Error occurred when installing iTunes
This type of error is generally occurs with iTunes 10.4.1.10 x64, when you try to install or upgrade to this version. The solution to this problem mentioned below.
Check "show hidden files and folders" in the folder and view options then navigate to:"C:Program Data" and delete the folders "Apple" and "Apple Computer". After this you will have no problems installing.
Error occurred when installing iTunes
Here are the steps to solve your problem:
1. Well it is suggested to uninstall the entire setup completely and proceed with a fresh copy. If you face any problem with the un-installation process don't worry, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method. Well you can fix the problem by deleting the files/folders in Program Data pertaining to Apple, and any files/folders in Program Files pertaining to iTunes, iPod, etc. and then run the installer as an Administrator.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
4. Remove any references you find to the programs you removed – strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
5. Restart your PC again.
6. Now after that download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of QuickTime and continue with installation again. Here are the links:
