An error occurred while in high CPU usage

I’m getting the following error as shown in the image below whilst utilizing Notepad++.

 

Application Error

Exception EAccessViolation in module HTML Tag _unicode.dll at 0005EDC8.

Access violation at address 0480EDC8 in module

‘HTML Tag_ Unicode.dll’. Read of address 6AF54E60.

 

 

It is perhaps an application error coupled with an access violation at the address 0480EDC8 in the module.

What kind of error is this and how can I able to lick this problem?

Hello David,

Try the following workarounds:

1. First, start  Notepad++ in compatibility mode for any version of Windows that you are using.
2. The second workaround will be to open the plugin manager and then reinstall the HTMLTag plugin.

Any of the above methods should resolve the issue you have with notepad.

Hello,

It looks like HTMLTag plugin for Notepad++ is having problem. It is possible when any of the plugin components become corrupted or missing.

Download the latest HTMLTag plugin. Install it and run Notepad++ again.

Also, you should try the latest Notepad++. Every version comes with various bugs fixed.
