An error occurred while opening PDF file

Hi friends, I have here an error message that I encountered while opening my PDF file, the error message is telling that the file could potentially harm your computer, please refer below the whole text of the error for a clear view of my concern.

Launch File

This file and its viewer application are set to be launched by the PDF file. The file may contain programs, macros or viruses that could potentially harm your computer . Only open the file if you are sure it is sage. If the file  was placed by a trusted person or program, you can click Open to view the file. 

As I read on the error I was confused and afraid what might happen to my computer, so I choose don't open, and I scan my computer for some virus that might infect my computer, but no virus was found, so I am asking for some advice, should I continue to open the file,

An error occurred while opening PDF file

• I tell you my personal experience my father was also suffering from similar problem couple of months back…. i tried many fixes but none of them worked for me. Then a tech guy suggested me RegInOut System Utilities program … i installed it on my dad's PC and run all of its tools and the problem vanished 🙂

Hi,

The problem you are facing is quite simple but it all depends on you. I think the PDF file which you are trying to view may have been downloaded from some non trusted sites. These file might contain some malicious worms which some free antivirus don’t detect. So please use a good antivirus and check again. If you really want to view the PDF file then I would prefer you to use (Universal Viewer or Adobe reader).

This will help you view the file even if some malicious contents. By the way the risk is very low and you don’t really need to worry about this file. I hope I have solved your problem, please do reply if you are unable to understand the problem and I will try my level best to explain it again.
