Error reading from file ….D:SoftwareImageResizer-2.0.msi

I have two computers having Windows ultimate edition in both. When I tried to run the setup of Image Resizer Powertoy Clone, my first system gives me the error:

Image Resize Powertoy Clone for Windows Setup

Error reading from file

D:SoftwareImageResizer-2.0.msi. Verify that the file

exists and that you can access it.

I started to try to install it on the other system but the same behavior has been noted on that computer also.

If I go to the extraction of MSI it gives me the information: "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." (This is just like the error message attached).

Please help me out of this anomaly and suggest me for the solution as soon as possible.

Hello there Wayne J Olive,

Since you're experiencing the same problem on both computers, that would mean that your system is not an issue. Also, the fact that you cannot open the MSI file tells us your file is damaged.

MSI files are Windows installer files and there is not much to do to find out what exactly is wrong with the file or how to repair it. The only best solution would be to redownload corrupted MSI file again.
