Error in running program menu in HP

Hello community!

I found this error message when I was heading to the programs menu and select HP then updates – I received:

“The computer this program communicates with for update info is currently not available.”

7-12-10 I found nothing for displaying in my image zone program.

Are there any similar issues any one has faced and can help me find a solution?

Help will be appreciated.

Dear Alonzo,

Please use the below mentioned methodology to fix the issue. 

Open the Internet Explorer. Click on Tools and select Internet Option. The Internet Option window appears.

Select the connection tab.

Follow the below mentioned steps depending on the existing scenario.


a. Click on Settings and enter the details of the Proxy server and the port number in case where private network is being connected.

b. Click on LAN Settings button and check the box next to Automatically detect settings when LAN connection is being used.

c. Click on Settings and check the box next to Automatically detect settings when dial up connection with a modem is being used.

d. In the absence of Internet connection under the box below Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings,set the internet connection making use of the setup button.Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the wizard,

If when updating an HP product led to a message that says the computer on the other end is not available, this means that the server that the HP product is trying to connect to is either unavailable, busy, or your computer is having a bad internet connection. If the server is either unavailable or busy, you may try updating it again later.

It is possible that the server is experiencing heavy traffic due to the amount of users that are also trying to update their products. You may try updating it again some other time.

You may also try checking if you have a good internet connection. It is possible that the connection is not stable enough to download files for the update. Check your internet connection using your web browser and see if you can surf to other websites.

You may also try downloading average-size files just to check if the download will not cut off.
