Error Running RFID Demo Software of ez430-TMS37157

I purchased PaLFI eZ430-TMS37157 Development Stick for $199. It’s a combination of Low Frequency Transponder with SPI Interface and managing power to the micro controller.

The package comes with RFID demo software which I downloaded from the internet. When done with the installation, I have run the demo for testing. But I received an error as shown below:

RFID Demo Software

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click

Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If

you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

The given port name does not start with COM/com or does not resolve to

a valid serial port.

Parameter name: portName.

Details          Continue     Quit

I tried to uninstall the software and then re-install it again. And yet, the error remains. I don’t know the cause but I need to resolve this. Can someone please help me?

Error Running RFID Demo Software of ez430-TMS37157

It seems to me that there is something wrong with the GUI of the Windows. You have either a corrupted Windows or you have downloaded the wrong version. There is a difference in each version and you have to look carefully that you have downloaded the right one.

Download the Java SDK pack and install it on your computer.

Check to make sure that you have downloaded the right version for yourself.

Download the .Net framework and install it.

After that, download the file that I am linking here.

This is a repair file that you will need to avoid this error and stop it from coming in the near future.
