I am receiving an error on Samba server while trying to edit files in the home directory from the Ubuntu machine. I am experiencing this issue after upgrading Centos from 5.4 to 5.5 version. The home directory is mounted via FSTAB. Though I am able to access the files, it is taking long time to open and close. How do I get rid of the error that I am receiving only while working on the home share but not on any other shares?
Error on Samba server while trying to edit files?
Maybe the previous upgrade that you did caused some of the system files to be corrupted. That’s why you are having a problem editing files on your computer. Try checking your computer first for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your whole system.
If the scan didn’t find any signs of infection on your system, try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton Utilities, or Norton System Works.
