Hi guys,
One of my clients gave me a dongle to install the VMB lite software on my system. I inserted the dongle in my system and it started successfully but unfortunately the installation could not be completed. I searched a lot on the net to find the latest version of this software and finally found it on this link.
now I started the installation from the above mentioned website which is in fact the official Vodafone website. This time the installation was completed successfully but when the system restarted and I tried to start the software an error screen popped up on my screen. It happens when I click the icon on the desktop or by inserting the dongle. The print screen of the error is as follows:

I uninstalled the software and installed it again but with the same ending. I am using Lenovo Thinkpad T60 with OS windows XP pro SP3.
Can anyone please explain why this error is appearing again and again. Does it have something to do with the dongle or my system specs. Actually I don’t know the exact model details of the dongle.
Please reply to my query. I'll be really thankful.
Regards

Are you sure that the website you are using the official Vodafone website? For the error is most likely occurring because you are try to install from a website that does not have a genuine copy of the application. Just check one more time to be sure that indeed the website you are installing from is an official Vodafone website.
Something else that might be the possible cause to the problem is compatibility issues. You will need to check the specifications of the app and make sure that it can work with windows XP OS. There may be a likelihood that the app is meant to be used on other Operating Systems like windows 7. It is better if you just confirm that.

Carl

Every mobile broadband USB dongle comes with its own software for the broadband stick to work. Without the application, the broadband dongle is useless. Normally, the software for the USB broadband stick is built-in to the dongle itself. When you connect the USB dongle on the USB port of your computer, the software will automatically launch. You will then just have to install it once setup started.
Now, before you install the application, consider checking if the broadband software is compatible with your computer. That error you are receiving appears like the application is not compatible with your computer. Unfortunately, the broadband software that you can download from the Vodafone website is no longer compatible with your operating system, Windows XP.
The latest Vodafone Mobile Broadband software you can download at the moment supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. To use the USB broadband dongle, you need to have a computer that runs on Windows 7 or higher. You won’t be able to run and use it on Microsoft Windows XP.
If you have a computer with a supported operating system, you can download the latest software from Vodafone Mobile Broadband.
