Error shown while downloading OoVoo for video chat and instant messaging

Hi guys,

I have been trying to download OoVoo for video chat and instant messaging from my PC. Whenever I start the downloading process, the following message appears on the screen:

"Sorry, the installation process has failed. Click Get help to solve this problem."

It straight away fails the process and recommends to go to the get help icon. I did accordingly, but then again, another error appeared saying:

"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203."

I don’t know what this error 2203 means? I myself can't find a solution to this problem. If anyone can be of any help, I'll be grateful.

Hello Calvin hoffman,

 

I have read your query. It seems that Windows Installer is not able to execute the MSI file, which you are trying to install. To rectify this problem please do the following:

 

• Click on start menu and go to Run. Type “Services.msc” in Run, your windows services will appear. Here you can stop and start any service you like. Select Windows Installer from the list and stop this service, then restart this service. It may resolve the issue.

• You maybe encountering this problem due to your antivirus real time scanner. Try disabling your antivirus during installation, it may resolve this issue.

• Click on start menu and go to Run. Type “%temp%” in Run, you Temp Folder. Right Click anywhere on the blank space, not some file in Temp Folder. Go to properties and to Security Tab, and then click on Edit.

• There add you user account for setting permissions to your user account by checking the full permissions block. Click ok and run application installer again. It may resolve your issue.
