Error shown while working with family picture collection

Hi experts,

I am annoyed to scan, save and trying to edit my whole family picture collection.

I have saved all the pictures, and also have loads of copies.

While I am working to copy/replace/delete pictures from hundreds of pictures/thousands of pictures, I receive the error message – "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I feel it as something to act with dll(s) and I have used the shellxview program to end everything that is not Microsoft.

Also, this helped quite, but still, I get the error message.

Does this present any clues? What is the reason?

Error shown while working with family picture collection

Hello Athan,

divx.dll is associated with a video codec used to play mpeg4 avi files. It could also be part of a virus. The crash could be caused by Explorer trying to create thumbnails.

I think that you may have a virus infection or a corruption of a windows file. For virus infection you can download scanning programs. Such as :

Or, you can scan online here :

https://www.avast.com/en-in/index

If this doesn’t work you may have a corruption of a windows file. Reinstall windows if none above works. It will solve the problem.
