My computer keeps showing a pop up error message stating “error in system registry”. How do I fix system registry errors to solve this hitch? Even after system recovery I am still getting the same error message.
Error in System Registry keeps appearing
Do a system restore or repair your operating system. In this way you will have no problem in backing up your files. It does not necessarily mean that it will be successful. It might be okay for quite sometime but it will return the error once again. I suggest that you reformat your whole system so that it won't appear again. Install some protection software so that no viruses can attack your registry. But make sure to back up all of your files while doing this. It is pretty important as long as you think that you need something from your hard drive.

Since it is a problem with the Windows registry, what you need is a registry cleaner. Download PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Follow the instructions to download and unpack and then install it. Once installed, start PC Tools then go to “Performance” tab and click “Clean Your Registry.”
On the next screen, make sure “Complete Registry Scan” is selected in the “Type of Scan to Run” and then click “Start Scan.” The scanning may take a while to finish especially if this is the first time you will clean the Windows registry. In my computer, scanning takes about one minute and thirty seconds (1 min 30 sec) to complete.
When scan is complete, click “Repair” to fix all problems found. After this, go back to the “Performance” tab and click “Compact Your Registry.” On the next screen, make sure “Create System Restore Point” is checked then click “Start.” Wait until it is complete then select to restart the computer when you are prompted. This should optimize the Windows registry. See if this works.
