I have a network printer connected to my Windows 10 PC. After an update, I get the following error message – a policy is in effect on your computer, and I cannot connect to the print queue. Disabling the antivirus did not help. Please help.

If you are unable to connect to the print queue as a policy is in effect on your computer, follow the steps given below –

a. Press Windows Key + R.
b. Type gpedit.msc and press enter.
c. Right-click on Point and Printer Restriction policy.
d. Open Properties.
e. Include the FQDN of the printer server.

f. Include the shorter name (mandatory) separated by a semicolon.
g. Run the gpupdate command.
h. Restart your device, and the error will disappear.
