Error with VT Modem-4 while sending string AT
Check if your modem’s connection to the computer’s port is secure and not loose and then try writing again the configuration to your modem. If you still get the same error, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the application you are using in writing the configuration to the modem.Â
This will fix any corrupted files on the installation and restores its settings back to default including some of the settings that you might have customized. If you are using the USB port and you are still getting the same error, try transferring to other available ports and then try again.
You may also want to try checking if your computer can verify your modem.
-
Click Start then Control Panel.
-
Click Network and Internet Connections.
-
Click Phone and Modem Options.
-
Click Modems tab.
-
Select your modem from the list then click Properties.
-
Click Diagnostics tab.
-
Click Query Modem button. This will send a standard AT commands to the modem and will display how the modem will respond to each command.
-
Click OK when done.
Error with VT Modem-4 while sending string AT
Hello Graham,
Have you tried restarting the modem, for that could be a temporary issue that could be resolved by simply restarting the modem? You will also need to check the SIM card in the modem and ensure that it has been connected well. If the issue persists you might need to call your service provider.
Regards,
Nicke
