I hate dis error message, every moment I am downloading any programs from the internet, it shows………
"Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author."
I m getting this problem while downloading an error while unpacking program code LP5.
Here is the solution:
1.The number one solution is to disable or turn off current anti virus for a while or every time you use that program showing "Error while unpacking program. Code LP5. Please report to author." Then restart your computer.
Open the program again which previously having error "Error while unpacking program. Code LP5. Please report to author."
Then after using the program, you can enable or turn on the anti virus.
Note: If you will enable the anti virus, the error message to that program will show again, in that case, if you want to use that program again, disable the antivirus again for a while then restart your PC.
I hope this help you very much. Thank you!
If you always receive that error in any application you downloaded, check the format of the file you are downloading. If the file is an EXE [*.exe] then you don’t need an extractor to manually unpack the installer. You just need to double-click on the file to start the installation. But if the file is in RAR [*.rar], ZIP [*.zip], or 7-Zip [*.7z] format, you need an extractor to unpack the installer.
Normally, one extractor can unpack other formats like when using 7-Zip it can extract other compressed files such as RAR, ZIP, ARJ, DMG, GZIP, TAR and more. I even tried opening and extracting the files of an ISO disc image and it helped me install the application without the need to add a virtual drive or to burn the image to a blank disc.
If you want to use 7-Zip, download the latest stable version, 7-Zip 9.20. Download the appropriate version for your operating system. The EXE format is for x86 Microsoft Windows and the MSI format is for x64 Microsoft Windows. If the problem continues and you are running a “.exe” installer, run it again as administrator.
Right-click on the EXE installer and then select Properties. Select Compatibility tab then check “Run this program as an administrator” and then click OK. Double-click on the installer again and install the application.
