Error While installing the Crysis game from cd

Hi,

I recently acquired an installation CD for the Crysis game which I intended to install on my PC. But on running the installer, it gives an error message and fails to install. I have tried to change the CD-ROM as the error says but still gets the message again whenever I run the installer. What could be the problem?

Please help.

Error 1335.The cabinet File PCW_CABfamily2’ required For this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading From the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Error While installing the Crysis game from cd

Hi,

The reason your installer gives an error message and fails to install maybe due to the fact that your drive is out of order, it runs but actually does nothing it just idles. You should try getting a new DVD-ROM instead of a CD-ROM and try it again with other games to see if the installation goes through. You can also try to install the game in a different drive or folder and see if it works. You can get more information on this at the microsoft site.
