Hello,

What does ERROR_DIR_EFS_DISALLOWED6010 (0x177A) mean? It pops up when i open up pc, is this something i should worry about? I'm starting to be concerned since i don't know much. I am not that tech savvy on these things but i am willing to fix this myself if necessary. Hope i get more feedback on the matter.

ERROR_DIR_EFS_DISALLOWED 6010 (0x177A) solution please???

The dialog box always appears when the directory cannot be encrypted. It is interpreted as:

• Dir: it’s an abbreviation for “directory”
• Efs: it’s an abbreviation for “Encryption file system”

This is a source of concern as encryption protects directory contents from being read by other unauthorized users. The error will then slow down your computer’s performance and lead to a myriad of other problems. To correct this, there are free software such as SystemCare6 and Fasterloader which scan your computer and fix such errors.
