ERROR_PATCH_MANAGED_ADVERTISED_PRODUCT 1651 Administrative user failed to apply

ERROR_PATCH_MANAGED_ADVERTISED_PRODUCT 1651 Administrative user failed to apply patch for a per-user managed or a per-machine application that is in advertise state. Available beginning with Windows Installer version 3.0.

I am having this Windows Error 1651. It says:

“Windows Installer does not permit updating of managed advertised products. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the update. ”

I looked what it is, and it is Windows Error Code ERROR_PATCH_MANAGED_ADVERTISED_PRODUCT.

How do I resolve this?

Hallo Adams,

If you do not have Administrative privileges to your system, then there is not much that you can be able to do.

If you can't log into your local Administrator account on the system, then all you will need to do is make the desired changes. Otherwise, you will have to contact the Network Administrator for more details.
