Errors after installing the 64-bit version of Office 2010

If I click Actions and then click Edit in Datasheet on a SharePoint 2003 or 2007 site, or I click the List tab and then click Datasheet view on a SharePoint 2010 site, you receive the following error message:

The list cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons:

A datasheet component compatible with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation is not installed or your Web browser does not support ActiveX controls or a component is not properly configured for 32-bit or 64-bit support.

Any suggestions in this regard are welcome.

Errors after installing the 64-bit version of Office 2010

The problem might be because of the Datasheet Component 64-bit is not available on Office 2010. You may need to install the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components to be able to transfer data of your present MS Office files to other sources. The components can be downloaded from Microsoft Download Center.

This will install the Datasheet Component 32-bit that can also work with Office 2010 64-bit. However, this will only work when running a 32-bit browser.   For more information, click the link below:

Hai there,

 

The problem is that 64-bit version of Datasheet components are not available for Microsoft Office 2010.

 

To solve the datasheet component error, please install the 2007 Office System 32 bit Driver. It helps in Data Connectivity to enable the Datasheet components.

Please download the 32 bit datasheet components from the following website.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23734

 

This component will help 64bit operating system to work with a 32 bit component.
