ESET Smart Security installation shows insufficient privileges to access error

Hi experts,

Even if I am the only use of my laptop and I have the administrator privileges still I cannot install ESET Smart Security. Is the first error of this kind and I don’t know how can I deal with it. Can anyone help me to fix this administrator rights ? Is there a problem with my PC or ESET ?

Error:

The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:ProgramDataESETESET Smart Security. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator.

ESET Smart Security installation shows insufficient privileges to access error

Although you have administrator privilege on your computer, you still don't have complete control over what happens in it. In this case, ESET is being blocked by Windows UAC. To fix this, do the following steps:

1. Locate the ESET installer file

2. Right click on it and click "Run as administrator"

3. When prompted to confirm your choice, do so.

You will then be able to install ESET Smart Security without problems.
