Ethernet and Wi-Fi not working
Hi,
One of my roommates attached an Ethernet cable to his Xbox, and then suddenly the Wi-Fi wouldn't work in the rest of the house. Is there a reason for this? How would we fix this if there is a solution?

Edward,
If the WiFi is not working, then that should not be the reason that your friend connected the cable as so it is not working. You should refresh the connection and your router first. There must be any setting conflict of the router due to which its not working for WiFi. You can reboot your router from its administrative settings. For that you need to call a service provider engineer and he will do it for you. It seems its a settings conflict.Â
You should not have any problem if anyone connects a cable to your router. Since this is just a home set up. I will assume that you are not using a switch. So this WIFI router of yours should have a button, where you can refresh the WIFI of your router. This picture below is just a sample of a WIFI router and the Arrow down and Arrow UP under the Model of the router is a button where you should click to refresh the routers WIFI.
