Event 36888, Schannel A fatal alert was generated

Hi there,

This morning I have checked Event Viewer and I discovered this fatal error. I don’t know what is causing this because it seems like is not affecting anything at this moment. Any solution for this error ? What it means and is really affecting something ?

Event 36888, Schannel

A fatal alert was generated and send to the remote end point. This may result in termination of the connection. The TLS protocol defined fatal error code is 10. The Windows SChannel error state is 1203.

Event 36888, Schannel A fatal alert was generated

Hello,

 

This error is the result of a user who specifies an SSL port in a URL when attempting to access a web site which uses “HTTP.” If this information does not solve this problem perhaps you can simply disable Schannel event logging. Disable this feature by changing the following registry value to 0:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlSecurityProvidersSCHANNELEventLogging
